35 members and 5 parents from the Conkwright MS collaborated with the Family Youth Services Resource Center for a Dress Code Clothing Drive.

“On the last 2 days of school the students at Conkwright Middle School were granted dress-down days on one condition…They had to bring in their old dress code clothes! Everyone that participated in this event brought one or more pieces of clothing to send down to the FRC (Family Resource Center). The students who manned this event where none other than Conkwright’s Student Y Organization! They bravely tackled the monstrous piles of clothes (trust me it was to the ceiling both days!) and the check-in table. As the students came through the door they signed in at a table checking off their dress down day. They handed their clothes to the parents and students who put them in bags and sent them down to the FRC. As the bags were emptied the pile grew and the students got to work. They folded and sorted every single item and bagged them according to size and gender. This was a very difficult task and at the end the students enjoyed some pizza! This service project provided the FRC with clothes that they can use for many, many years!”
