Several Monroe Co MS Y-club members gave up a part of their Saturday to work the club’s bake sale in front of Wal-Mart while approximately 31 members brought items for the sale. There were even several members who brought more than one cake or pie, etc.
There was an array of baked goods consisting of fried apple pies, fudge, cream pies, homemade cakes, gourmet cupcakes, and lots of brownies, rice krispie treats, and various cookies. After today, it’s apparent that our club members have a lot of parents, grandparents, and aunts that are good cooks!!
The bake sale, our second fundraiser of the year, was another huge success with the unofficial total raised being over $600.
