Two clubs at Presentation Academy, the Interact Club and the Y-Club, collaborated and collected 2,100 pounds of food to help the Dare to Care Food Bank’s Emergency Food Program. This program was set up as a safety net to help ensure our community has access to the food it needs. The Interact Club is an international organization that fosters leadership, responsible citizenship, international understanding and peace. The Presentation Y-Club offers first hand experience in state government affairs and world affairs and promotes a better life for all humankind.
The clubs organized a costume contest, on Friday, Oct. 29 in conjunction with Halloween. Presentation students were asked to donate cans to wear a costume to participate. The group also sponsored a breakfast for the first period class that donated the largest number of cans. That honor went to Ms. Dillon’s freshmen Physical Education class with a whopping 117 cans donated.
