Oct 7, 2010 - Pumpkin Patch

On October 7, 3 members of the Trinity High School Y Club assisted
approximately 50 people unload 44,000 pounds of pumpkins for the annual
Pumpkin Patch at St. John United Methodist Church. The group unloaded a
filled semi-truck of pumpkins that made its way to Prospect, KY from
New Mexico, where the pumpkins were grown. The Pumpkin Patch is a
fundraiser at St. John that raises money for the youth programs,
specifically summer youth mission trips. Parker Lawson, Gage
Richardson, and Jess Pritchett spent the afternoon and evening
assisting. The process took about 4 hours and left all volunteers
appreciating that night's sleep. All are encouraged to venture to St.
John to purchase pumpkins this fall.
