Throughout the Spring of 2010, the Trinity High School Y Club spearheaded on effort focused on Haiti relief. Help for Haiti Wristbands became a leading project for Y Clubs in Kentucky and stretched across the country. Approximately 6,000 wristbands were ordered...Perhaps more due to the kindness of the wristband supplier.
Schools were invited to sell the wristbands to raise money for the YMCA World Service Fund, the organization through which donations are channeled at the Kentucky United Nations Assembly. Outside of Kentucky Y Clubs, a new YMCA branch ordered 250 wristbands for their grand opening in Arizona. In total, nearly $7,000 was raised for the YMCA World Service Fund. In recognition, Trinity's Y Club was awarded the YMCA World Service Fund Award. Gracious thanks goes to all those schools who participated and to any individual who bought, sold, or worked on behalf of this project.
