The Holy Name Y-club collected tab tops and this time they collected over 100 lbs. of aluminum tab tops and netted $56.35 for Ronald McDonald House of Ohio Valley. They sorted all plastic bottle tops for coke products. Coke product numbers are typed into their MyCokeRewards account. My students do this everyday, four people work 15 minutes each morning to keep this job caught up. So far we have provided the school with PE equipment, a video camera and all the construction paper that we need for the entire school year. We have also shared construction paper and PE equipment with another school. All plastic bottle tops then go to plastic recycling for park benches. HNS already has two park benches and a picnic table made from the tops. As a school, we do not need any more benches. We have shared bottle tops with several other schools who want benches. We recently delivered a truck load of plastic tops to Chapel Hill Methodist Church Youth Center.
